On June 9, 2008 many of us stared into the infinite deep blue sky. Some feared that they too would one day become a part of that sky. No one imagined a family being stalked by a silent killer, nevertheless losing a loved one to its deadly grip. The voice of an incredible woman now empowers strength and awareness against this deadly symptom of heart disease. Carol’s Voice dwells in all of us who understand losing a battle which we never knew even existed.
A few simple tests (see Cardiac Syncope) could have prevented this tragedy which left our spirit broken with grief and despair. Symptoms of heart disease can be masked in so many forms and every symptom needs an aggressive approach so that we do not continue to lose battles with no beginnings.
Let’s face it; we often think we are immune. Convincing ourselves that it could never happen to us or someone we love, but the grim reality is that we are all vulnerable. Cardiac Syncope IS often the END for the undiagnosed. Imagine...getting that phone call...your loved one has fallen asleep. FOREVER.
